Invesco uk has committed financial support, and specialist skill sharing to help deliver WWT’s ambitious goal to restore 100,000 hectares of wetlands in the UK by 2050.
We designed and delivered a partnership for Invesco UK that brought their charitable activities closer to their ESG goals. To ensure the success of the sustainability program, we delivered:
LONG LASTING IMPACT
Centring efforts around a regenerative project that offers multiple nature-based solutions for pressures on the local environment ie water pollution, air pollution, declining biodiversity
STORYTELLING FOR GOOD
Working with internal marketing teams to launch and for internal communications
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
Hosting workshops for advocacy and creating avenues for cross-departmental collaboration, as well as Hands-on volunteer days for Invesco UK teams at WWT sites.
WHY IT MATTERS
Wetlands in the UK are of great value to the environment and serve an important role in our lives. They are not only able to reduce carbon emissions at a faster rate than native woodland but also act as natural sponges, preventing flooding and erosion of vulnerable areas.
Wetlands are biodiversity hotspots, meaning they provide a sanctuary for a huge variety of plants and animals, supporting diverse wildlife.
Preserving wetlands not only benefits nature but allows people to reconnect with the natural world, promoting wellbeing and providing a peaceful escape from modern life.
