WHy we exist
We believe that business has a crucial role to play in positive environmental change, and many businesses are already measuring their carbon footprint. With the UK’s 2050 Net Zero target high on the agenda, a lack of due diligence in major carbon offsetting programmes, and an over-reliance on offsets are undermining our transition to a green economy.
We believe that businesses investing in local, environmental initiatives for nature-based solutions to climate change can have an immense impact on the environment they operate in, and the communities that gain from their regeneration.

Pronounced: Dar-kee-nee
Leads on sustainable business through commercial marketing. She started her career in Fashion PR with Erdem, then went on to work with Salesforce and Fitbit agency side. When launching the first BCorp shop with Waitrose she realised business can be a force for good.
YEMAYA LEE-HEWITT
Pronounced: Yuh-mai-ya
Centres on ecology, conservation and the role sustainable business has to play. Her career started in environmental research for a marine national park of Colombia, PNNCRSB, before returning to the UK as an ecological surveyor. She retrained into ESG after graduating in sustainable business management with CISL.
